By all accounts, Trinity’s 2022 Reunion was a blast!
For the first time since 2019, some in-person events were possible again—but that didn’t mean a full return to our 2019 style of programming. We’ve learned from our pandemic restrictions that there’s a place for online meeting platforms like Zoom, so this reunion included online parties that included alumni from around the world, as well as limited opportunities to connect face-to-face.
Said Jennifer Taynen ’02 at her Zoom class reunion, “Living abroad, I just assumed reunions would never be something for me. Thanks for the effort to put something online.”
Virtual highlights included a guided gelato tasting—participants received their treats ahead of time and indulged in flavours including smoked chocolate and bourbon, pistachio baklava, and ricotta rosemary lemon; a Jeoparty! and an Escape the Elevator game night; online tours of the College and a fantastic talk about unique treasures that inhabit its Archives; Divinity discussions of ecumenism past, present and future; and of course, special celebrations for this year’s honoured classes and those celebrating milestone reunion years. Some classes organized in-person social events around town, and those who returned to campus were treated to walking tours and Trinity-branded gifts. All were able to enjoy this year’s Trinity Reunion Playlist, as chosen by this year’s honoured classes, the 2s and the 7s. Listen here.
