Juliana Saxton ’54 passed away on December 19, 2024. Described as “force of nature,” she leaves a deep legacy as an artist and educator. From her student involvement with Hart House Theatre, she went on act in theatre, television and film. She then embarked on a distinguished career in academia, becoming a master teacher and internationally sought-after keynote speaker. She co-authored several books focused on theatre and its underlying educational philosophy. In one of several awards she received throughout her lifetime, Juliana is credited with bringing the full sense of the nature of theatre into the lives of everyone she touched.
Juliana’s legacy will endure at Trinity College as well – a long-time donor, she made a generous gift in 2024 to support restoration work in the Trinity Chapel.
