Dennis Berk ’90 was appointed as the Dean of Aberdeen and Orkney in the Scottish Episcopal Church.

Marc Bhalla ‘99 has earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall LawSchool.

Patrick Orr ’76, ’80, a member of the Ontario Bar since 1982, was recently admitted to the practice of Law in Australia, where he works in Darwin as Deputy Chief Parliamentary Counsel (complete with ceremonial wig).

Shreya Nayak ’17 has been selected to join the 2020/2021 Schwarzman Scholars. She will study and reside at Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China as she pursues a Master’s degree in Global Affairs with a core curriculum focused on three pillars: China, global affairs, and leadership. Schwarzman Scholars was inspired by the Rhodes Scholarship and is designed to prepare future global leaders to meet the geopolitical challenges of the 21st century.

Jennifer Quito ’07 was honoured with a 2019 Precedent Setter Award. The Precedent Setter Awards, launched by Precedent magazine in 2009, recognize Toronto lawyers who have shown excellence and leadership in their early years of practice.

Christine ‘Xine’ Yao ’07 received the Chancellor’s Gold Medal for the Arts and the Arthur Barker Prize for English when she graduated from Trinity. She went on to complete a PhD at Cornell University and a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) postdoctoral fellowship at UBC. In 2018, Christine joined the faculty in the English department at University College London. She is currently working on her first book, Disaffected: The Cultural Politics of Unfeeling in Nineteenth-Century America, and co-hosts the podcast, PhDivas, which interviews women from across the STEM/humanities divide about their research and experiences of working in academia. She was recently named of the 2020 New Generation Thinkers by the BBC and the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AAHC). Through the program, she will create programs for BBC Radio 3 to share her ideas and research with a wider audience.
