ALUMNI from multiple years enjoyed a Sip ‘n’ Stroll in Niagara on September 21. The group toured Stratus Vineyards, sampled wines and learned about winemaking, followed by reconnecting and meeting new alumni on the patio.

 

 

ALEXANDER ADOLPHE ’22 won three gold medals across three events at the IDBF Dragonboat Club Crew World Championships in Ravenna, Italy, in September. His team (NDRC) won overall. Congratulations!

PAUL JEBELY ’02, a private aviation attorney, has joined international law firm Sterlington PLLC as partner and international vice chair. Based in Hong Kong, Jebely has also advised on multi-billion-dollar mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and disputes in commercial aviation. In addition to his legal practice, Jebely is the Chair and Founder of The Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation (The Hague CAA), a specialized arbitration and mediation institution that is shifting the dispute resolution paradigm in the global aviation industry. He is also Visiting Scholar at The Nelson R. Mandela School of Law in South Africa.

STEVEN WANG ’11 has been selected as a David Rockefeller Fellow by The Trilateral Commission, which brings together senior policymakers, business leaders, and representatives of media and academia from across North America, Europe and Asia to explore solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues. He is currently a corporate attorney at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in the Toronto office and serves as an adjunct lecturer at Harvard Law School (on U.S.-China relations) and U of T (on artificial intelligence and corporate governance).

THE CLASS OF 2021 gathered for a dinner in Strachan Hall on October 4. They wanted no special treatment; they just wanted to be students again. Following the dinner they went out for drinks (at the Madison).

 

CLASS OF 2021 alumni Abby Chase, Disha Nayak, Heather Wong and Zeus Eden shared their experiences with current students in the latest virtual Alumni Career Mentorship Roundtable Session in October.
