Who:
Joyce (Cartwright) Lewis ’54 and Peter “PJ” Lewis ’54
When:
June 8, 1956
Where:
The Trinity College Chapel, of course!
Who else was there:
Trinity friends from the class of 1954, including Julian Armstrong, Barbara Bacchus, Aird Lewis (no relation) and Peter Rickaby
From the groom:
As was the case those days, the groom played no part in the planning — I just turned up in my rented outfit. I recall the ceremony went smoothly and happily, and it was a perfect June day for the outdoor reception at a large old house on Clarendon Avenue. But before we could join the festivities, the wedding party had to stand indoors in front of a fireplace for ages while the photographer found the right lenses and grappled with his camera. The resulting pictures never saw the light of day.
